Overview
This Dagger by Manson Sheffield is from the Civil War period and was carried by a man named “John Smith”, his name is scratches into one of the handle scales. Has a double edged blade with .152″ blade stock and .976″ blade depth, full tang construction. The handle has nickel silver bolsters front and rear, bone scales, brass liners. The scales are separating from the tang, but what would you expect from a knife that is over 150 years old made in England. Comes with original scabbard, but it is missing the nickel silver fittings. The condition is what you would expect from a knife this old, rough and used, but hey, isn’t that what make a piece like this cool? The mystery of its life….
